Air conditioner help!?

I have a wall mounted Delonghi spilt system air con im not sure of the make, but i know its one that can sence the temp of the room. My problem is that when i set the unit to cool 16 degrees after 5 mins its blowing out hot air!! Sometimes it also stays at 16 degress on the control but the unit says 30+ :| Please help!!!
